On 24 December 2008, Samdech Preah Mahessara NORODOM Chakrapong and the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation’s team undertook their last mission of the year in the country side. Once again, the President of the Foundation paid a visit to the three schools of the Ta Keo province to which he has been bringing continuous support for several months.
Le 24 décembre 2008, Samdech Preah Mahessara NORODOM Chakrapong et l’équipe de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong ont effectué leur dernière mission de l’année en province. Une nouvelle fois, le Président de la Fondation a ainsi rendu visite aux trois écoles de la province de Ta Keo auxquelles il a apporté un soutien continu depuis plusieurs mois.

The Foundation’s team first visited the Ang Prasaeu primary school where they were warmly welcomed by the Director, the teachers and the pupils. The school’s staff and students proudly showed to Samdech Preah Mahessara the vegetable garden they have created and the pond where they now raise fingerlings thanks to the support of the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation. The President of the Foundation was thus able to note with satisfaction that the assistance he has been providing to the school is already bearing fruits. The Director, the teachers and the students expressed once again their gratitude to Samdech Preah Mahessara NORODOM Chakrapong for having contributed to the development of their school and to food supply sustainability.
After having taken note of the progress made in the vegetable growing activities initiated by the Foundation, Samdech Preah Mahessara went on to distribute textbooks to the young students, handing them 160 books of primary school Year 4. Samdech Preah Mahessara is therefore keeping the promise he made to provide this school with all the primary school textbooks, from Year 1 to Year 6. The joyful children vividly expressed their gratitude towards the Foundation and its President.
In addition, in order to encourage the school to further develop its vegetable gardens, Samdech Preah Mahessara donated 100,000 riels to the Director of the school in order to finance the acquisition of more seeds. The Director and teachers expressed their deep gratitude to the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation for its assistance to the Ang Prasaeu School which is thus the constant object of Samdech Preah Mahessara’s attention.
L’équipe de la Fondation s’est tout d’abord rendue dans l’école primaire d’Ang Prâsaeu où elle a été chaleureusement accueillie par le Directeur, les enseignants et les élèves. Ceux-ci ont notamment fièrement fait visiter à Samdech Preah Mahessara le potager et l’élevage de poissons qu’ils ont pu créer grâce aux aides de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong. Le Président de la Fondation a de la sorte pu constater avec satisfaction que le soutien qu’il apporte à cette école a d’ores et déjà porté des fruits. Le Directeur, les enseignants et les élèves de l’école Ang Prâsaeu ont une nouvelle fois exprimé leur très profonde gratitude au Samdech Preah Mahessara NORODOM Chakrapong pour avoir ainsi contribué au développement de leur école et à son autonomisation alimentaire.
Après avoir pris note des progrès enregistré dans les programmes de culture initiés par la Fondation, Samdech Preah Mahessara a procédé à une distribution de livres au profit des élèves, leur remettant 160 manuels de la 4ème année d’école primaire. Samdech Preah Mahessara continue ainsi de tenir la promesse qu’il faite à cette école : fournir aux élèves les manuels de tout le cycle du primaire, soit de la 1ère à la 6ème année. Très heureux, les jeunes élèves ont manifesté sans réserve leur joie et leur gratitude envers la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong et son Président.
En outre, afin d’encourager cette école à poursuivre le développement de ses cultures potagères, Samdech Preah Mahessara a remis au Directeur de l’établissement, au nom de la Fondation, la somme 100,000 riels pour financer l’achat de graines supplémentaires. Le Directeur et les enseignants ont exprimé leur profonde reconnaissance envers la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong pour son soutien à l’école d’Ang Prâsaeu qui bénéficie ainsi de l’attention continue de Samdech Preah Mahessara.
The Foundation’s President and his team then bade farewell to the Director, the teachers and the students of the primary school and went on to pursue their mission towards another school, the Champa Leuk primary school.
Once they arrived in Champa Leuk, they were enthusiastically welcomed by the school’s Director, teachers and pupils who were overjoyed to know that Samdech Preah Mahessara was coming again to inspect and further support their vegetable growing and fish raising activities.
Le Président de la Fondation et son équipe ont alors fait leurs adieux au Directeur, au corps enseignant et aux élèves pour poursuivre leur mission vers une seconde école primaire, celle Champa Leuk.
Une fois arrivés à Champa Leuk, ils ont été accueillis avec un enthousiasme sans pareille par la direction, le corps enseignant et les élèves de l’école, heureux de voir Samdech Preah Mahessara venir inspecter et soutenir les activités de culture potagère et d’élevage de poissons.

The Foundation’s team again could note that both activities are developing fast and well. Samdech Preah Mahessara made a new contribution of 200,000 riels to the Director in order to help the school raise more fences around the vegetable garden and the fingerlings ponds and to buy more seeds. The school’s staff was overwhelmed by this supplementary donation which further strengthened their motivation to carry on their activities which they understand to be of vital importance for their school.
Keeping the promise he had made the last time he came to Champa Leuk, the Foundation’s President then proceeded with the distribution of 160 textbooks of primary school Year 4 to the pupils. The children were very happy with this gift which will save them the cost of buying the textbook themselves and they vibrantly expressed their gratefulness to Samdech Preah Mahessara.
Samdech Preah Mahessara also spent some time discussing with about the general situation of the school with the teachers, who were very glad to benefit from the attention and support of the Foundation and its President.
L’équipe de la Fondation a de nouveau pu constater que ces deux activités se développent vite et bien et Samdech Preah Mahessara a remis 200,000 riels de plus à la direction de l’école pour lui permettre d’ériger des clôtures encore manquantes autour du potager et de l’étang et pour financer l’achat de graines supplémentaires. Ce nouveau don a rempli les bénéficiaires de joie et a renforcé encore leur motivation à poursuivre des activités dont ils comprennent l’importance cruciale pour leur établissement.
Comme il l’avait promis lors de son dernier passage dans l’école de Champa Leuk, le Président de la Fondation a ensuite procédé à une distribution de 160 livres de 4ème année du primaire qui ont été remis aux élèves. Heureux de ce don qui leur permettra d’économiser le coût du manuel, ces derniers ont vivement exprimé leur reconnaissance à Samdech Preah Mahessara.
Samdech Preah Mahessara s’est également entretenu de la situation générale de l’école avec le corps enseignant qui s’est dit très heureux de pouvoir ainsi bénéficier de l’attention et du soutien de la Fondation et de son Président.

The Director, the teachers and the students then accompanied the Samdech Preah Mahessara NORODOM Chakrapong and his team back while again expressing their heartfelt gratitude and wishing them well for their trip towards the third destination of the day. Samdech Preah Mahessara promised to come back in order to follow up on the progress made by the vegetable garden and fingerlings raisings and to distribute more textbooks.
Le Directeur, les enseignants et les élèves ont ensuite raccompagné le Prince et son équipe en les remerciant chaleureusement et en leur souhaitant de faire bonne route vers leur troisième destination de la journée. Samdech Preah Mahessara a promis de revenir pour continuer à suivre les progrès réalisés en matière de culture potagère et d’élevage de poissons et pour distribuer d’autres livres.
Finally, Samdech Preah Mahessara and the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation’s team completed their December mission by visiting the Sok An Mongkol Mean Leak primary school.
Enfin, Samdech Preah Mahessara et l’équipe de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong ont achevé leur mission du mois de décembre en se rendant à l’école Sok An Monkgol Mean Leak.

Once more, the Samdech Preah Mahessara NORODOM Chakrapong and his team were warmly welcomed by the school’s staff and Director who are grateful towards the useful and continuous support provided by the Foundation. The visit followed the same procedure with Samdech Preah Mahessara first taking note of the development of the vegetable growing and fish raising activities ensured thanks to the Foundation’s contributions. The teaching staff was proud to report to the President of the Foundation that both activities were moving forward very well and in accordance with the schedule. They again thanked Samdech Preah Mahessara for having supported them in starting these projects which are of utmost importance to answer the needs of the school.
Samdech Preah Mahessara then proceeded to distribute 160 textbooks (Primary school Year 4) to the school’s young students who respectfully expressed their cheerful gratitude to the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation.
Une nouvelle fois, l’équipe et le Prince ont été chaleureusement accueillis par une école reconnaissante envers la Fondation pour son soutien utile et continu. La visite s’est déroulée de la même façon, Samdech Preah Mahessara allant tout d’abord prendre acte du développement des cultures potagères et de l’élevage de poissons assuré grâce aux apports de la Fondation. Le corps enseignant a fièrement rapporté au Président de la Fondation que ces activités se déroulaient très bien et selon le calendrier prévu. Ils ont remercié avec effusion Samdech Preah Mahessara pour leur avoir permis de lancer ces projets primordiaux pour répondre aux besoins de l’école.
Samdech Preah Mahessara a ensuite procédé à la distribution de 160 manuels de 4ème année à destination des élèves de l’école primaire, lesquels ont respectueusement exprimé leur joyeuse reconnaissance envers la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong.

At the end of this final visit of the day, Samdech Preah Mahessara held a discussion with the Director and the teaching staff of the school and took note of their future needs, especially those related to the vegetable growing and fish raising activities.
A l’issue de cette ultime visite de la journée, Samdech Preah Mahessara s’est entretenu avec le Directeur et les enseignants de l’école et a notamment pris note de leurs futurs besoins concernant les activités de culture potagère et d’élevage de poissons.
