The Norodom Racvivong Foundation

On 16 April 2010, Samdech Preah Mohessara NORODOM Chakrapong , Neak Moneang NORODOM Kachanipha and the team of the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation undertook to provide assistance to two more schools located in Kompong Speu: the Vat Kdei and Snam Pok primary schools.

With the growing reputation of the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation, its President is now faced with more and more requests for support sent by schools that are looking to provide better teaching environment to their students and therefore to decrease rates of school failures that remain very high in the rural areas. The President and his team carefully study each request and do their best to grant support to as many schools as the Foundation’s resources allow.

The Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation thus answered positively to the request formulated by the directors and the teachers of the Vat Kdei and Snam Pok primary schools who warmly welcomed Samdech Preah Mohessara NORODOM Chakrapong and his team upon their arrival on site.

As usual, the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation’s President started by meeting with the directors and teachers of each school which he then visited, in order to better understand their general state and particular needs. The teachers and directors of each school were particularly appreciative of the Foundation’s policy whereby its President and team listen to the requests formulated by the school before proposing its support.

After these meetings and visits, Samdech Preah Mohessara proceeded with the distribution of textbooks so eagerly awaited by the schools’ children. The Foundation’s President donated to each school 440 textbooks covering all topics of the first 6 years of primary school. The pupils received with joy these books which will enable them to better concentrate on their individual studies and to achieve better results. In the Snam Pok Primary School, the distribution session could be organized in the courtyard thanks to a clement weather, something which delighted the children.

Following the textbooks handover ceremony, the Samdech Norodom Racvivong Foundation’s team gladly stood amongst their grateful hosts to take souvenir pictures in Vat Kdei Primary School and in Snam Pok Primary School where the young pupils proudly exhibited their new textbooks. Thereafter, Samdech Preah Mohessara and his team said goodbye to the directors, teachers and children of the school and left for the capital city.

Le 16 avril 2010, Samdech Preah Mohessara NORODOM Chakrapong , Neak Moneang NORODOM Kachanipha et l’équipe de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong ont apporté leur soutien à deux nouveaux établissements scolaires de la province de Kompong Speu : l’école primaire Vat Kdei et l’école primaire Snam Pok.

La réputation de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong continuant de s’accroitre au fil des mois, son Président doit désormais répondre à de plus en plus de demandes émanant d’établissements désireux d’améliorer les conditions d’enseignement qu’ils offrent à leurs élèves et de réduire ainsi le taux encore très élevé d’échec scolaire qui prévaut au sein des zones rurales. Le Président et son équipe étudient chaque demande avec soin et tentent d’apporter une réponse positive à autant d’établissement que les moyens de la Fondation le permettent.

C’est ainsi que la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong a répondu positivement à la demande formulée par la direction et les enseignants des écoles primaires Vat Kdei et Snam Pok, lesquels ont réservé un accueil extrêmement chaleureux à Samdech Preah Mohessara NORODOM Chakrapong et à ses collaborateurs, une fois ceux-ci arrivés sur place.

Comme à son habitude, le Président de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong a commencé par s’entretenir avec les directeurs et enseignants de chacun des établissements qu’il a ensuite visités afin de s’enquérir de leur situation générale et de leurs besoins particuliers. Les enseignants et les directeurs de chaque école ont été particulièrement sensibles à la politique de la Fondation qui consiste à écouter les demandes exprimés par les établissements avant de leur apporter son appui.

Après ces réunions et visites, Samdech Preah Mohessara a procédé à la distribution attendue de manuels scolaires, remettant à chacune des deux écoles 440 livres couvrant toutes les matières des 6 années du cycle primaire. C’est avec joie que les élèves ont reçu ces manuels qui leur permettront de se concentrer individuellement sur leurs leçons et donc d’obtenir de meilleurs résultats. Le temps le permettant, la séance de distribution s’est déroulée dans la cour de l’école primaire Snam Pok, pour la plus grande joie des enfants.

Après ces séances de distribution, l’équipe de la Fondation Samdech Norodom Racvivong a posé avec ses hôtes reconnaissants pour les habituelles photos souvenirs, dans l’école Vat Kdei et dans l’école Snam Pok où les enfants ont brandi avec joie leurs manuels scolaires. A l’issue de ces deux visites et après avoir pris congé des directeurs, enseignants et élèves de chaque école, Samdech Preah Mohessara et son équipe ont repris le chemin de la capitale.
